QiGong is a low impact mindfulness in movement practice which provides a sequence of exercises and techniques originating from China. The practice strengthens the body, relaxes the mind, and gives you time to focus on yourself. Easy to learn, I teach simple routine's consisting of continuous fluid movements, combined with balanced breathing and good posture. By learning these routines you will release tension, creating a sense of calm and focus. Most classes will also include some gentle QiGong meditations whilst seated, standing or lying.
Increasingly, stress and fatigue as well as muscular aches and pains are becoming a part of everyday modern living. QiGong provides simple exercises and strategies to help us cope with inevitable pressures of life, develop overall body strength and complement other sports training and relaxation methods you may also enjoy. It is also a wonderful practice to spend some time taking care of yourself through relaxation and breathing, enabling you to begin to develop inner peace and tranquility.
